Mij is currently a 3rd year Psychology student at UBC. She has a lot of experience working with children, especially with improving their literacy, and creating arts and crafts with them. So, it makes sense that she is drawn to psychology topics such as child development. Mij works in the playroom as a Child and Family Support Assistant, helping run drop-in programs. She is very grateful to be working with awesome staff and meeting families at the Family Centre!
Alice is currently a 4th year International Relations major at UBC. Beginning her second month at the Family Centre as a Special Events Assistant, she is beyond excited to be here, working and interacting with all the lovely staff, families and children. She is truly thankful to be in a warm, supportive and multicultural environment. Alice's passions lie in French, helping others and learning new cultures and languages. She is looking forward to meeting you all!

Your Membership is Important!
Annual membership runs from May 1st to April 30th, and costs $45 per year. That is only 86 cents per week! If you and your children enjoy coming to our centre, we would greatly appreciate your purchase/renewal of membership.
Membership fees are a crucial part of our annual revenue to continue our Family Drop In program, parent education, worshops, special events and seasonal celebrations.
In order to meet our fundraising goal, we need 333 families to purchase/renew their membership. We are at approximately 100 memberships so far. We continue to accept payment via cash, cheque or credit card.
For more information, please talk to any staff at the Family Centre.

Please be aware that the gravel is very slippery. We are working on finding a solution to this problem. In the meantime, if any family member can donate some time to shove/sweep the gravel back in its place, please let us know. We have a shovel and some brooms readily available in the bike shed. As well, parents and caregivers should monitor/prevent the children dumping the gravel on the blue surface, wooden benches and walkway.
