Mount Pleasant Family Centre Society
We are a non-profit society offering a range of resources and services for parents, caregivers and their young children, pre-birth to 6 years. A Home Away From Home, Mount Pleasant Family Centre is a place for families with young children to drop in, make new friends, learn new skills and receive support in times of need.
Position has been filled. Thank you for your interest.
Our family centre participated again in the 5% Day organized by Whole Foods Market. On July 26th, 5% of all purchases were donated to Fresh to Families, an expansion project of the BC Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program. Thanks to Fresh to Families, almost 50 Circles of Care and Connection families who came to Canada as refugees, were given nutrition coupons to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from local farms and producers. The families always look forward to our field trips to farmers' markets which, as they often say: "remind them of home" and enable them to “feed their children fresh and healthy fruits and vegetables”.
