The families participating in the Circles of Care and Connection Early Years Refugee Program started visiting farmer’s markets again. In July, 46 CCC families (55 adults and 52 children) went to Main St. Station Market to buy fresh, locally grown food. “We all had fun today, my children loved eating fresh fruits and vegetables,” one dad told us.

Thanks to the Fresh to Families Project supported by Whole Foods Market, low-income families, newly arrived refugees, and at risk expectant mothers receive Farmers Market Nutrition Coupons to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, eggs, and nuts from local farms and producers.
