Our Circles of Care and Connection Early Years Refugee Program participated yesterday (June 20th) in the World Refugee Day 2018 Celebration organized by Vancouver Public Library and Multi-Agency Partnership (MAP). During the event, visitors could go through a simulated refugee claimant experience: ‘Take a Walk in my Shoes’, see and buy refugee artists’ creations and meet with agencies supporting refugees to learn about various programs and services supporting refugees with settling and finding resources in their new communities.
